Indian manufacturing factories lag far behind even in digitalization. Though no credible number in terms of percentage is available, factories have a to go a long way for implementing Industry 4.0.

Not very encouraging. My company has made survey recently. 85% of the industries are still in era of digitization. Out of 15% of the industries, 10% industries has digitally optimized the process and 5% of the industries are in true sense has adopted Industry 4.0 related technologies as per guidelines and using the information for product innovation.
