The industrial Internet of things is a multi-level system that includes sensors and controllers installed on the nodes and units of an industrial facility, means of transferring the collected data and their visualization, powerful analytical tools for interpreting the received information, and many other components

Technological and economic advantages of IIoT and industrial automation:
constant interaction among objects, immediate response to requests and adjustments of manufacturing cycle;
simpler data operations;
expenses for raw materials and energy are reduced due to the stable control;
predictive analytics allows to avoid defects and cut production idle hours;
monotonous work is performed by machines instead of people, providing the high level of productivity;
as the result, volumes and scales of manufacturing grow;
increasing competitive ability of enterprise;
company’s image and customers’ loyalty are improved.
Andrei Shulha
As the evidence from practice shows, the Industrial Internet of Things improves planning, reduces the time of product making, conducts a predictive analysis, encourages savings, as well as enhances the quality of items and enterprise efficiency. These factors are crucial in the integration of IIoT.

Industry 4.0 uses an Internet of Things in order to perform digital manufacturing. Machines, systems, and humans communicate with each other in order to coordinate and monitor progress along the assembly line. All the Networked devices ( robots, simulations, and tools) have sensors and provide data , that are digitally controlled. all these data helps in data analytics & decision making . more ever IOT enables the real time responses to industry 4.0 Smart factory set up.
Julia Kniga
Industry 4.0 refers to the use of automation and data exchange in manufacturing.
According to the Boston Consulting Group there are nine principal technologies that make up Industry 4.0: Autonomous Robots, Simulation, Horizontal and Vertical System Integration, the Industrial Internet of Things, Cybersecurity, The Cloud, Additive Manufacturing, Data and Analytics, and Augmented Reality.
So, Industry 4.0 uses an Internet of Things to perform digital manufacturing. All devices, robots, simulations, and tools have sensors and provide data.
Additionally, no manufacturer is an island as nearly every manufacturer has a supply chain which in turn has its own tools, and its own data, processes, and network. Bringing each of these networks together into a bigger Internet of Things promises to allow the entire supply chain to react more seamlessly to the market.

The main roles of IoT in Industry 4.0 are the possibility of interaction of several field devices with each other and with more centralized controllers. It also descentralize analytics and decision making. Enabling real-time responses.

IIoT(nothing but IoT, but in industrial context) is one important and core component of the industry 4.0 framework
Rohit Tidke
By using iot based system we can expand our network in industry. Iot increases the network of system by connecting them with device through sensors. Man and machine interaction becomes very good.
