Management would be able to query based on certain parameters, and the built-in algorithms would provide output / report for those parameters. Since in a smart factory production, operations, supply chain, R&D, quality, customer feedback, and core systems are connected, predictive analytics can be used for decision making. For example, if production needs to be increased by 10%, what are the dependencies, what is the current machine idle time, availability of parts, vendor schedule, etc. would be available real-time, based on which a prediction will be made on when the 10% increase in production will be possible and completed.
