The Project Management Life Cycle has four phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution and Closure.

Project management is the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time. If the results of the closed project are used for initiating a new project then all phases create a cycle known as project cycle.
