The blockchain is not middleware meant to tie into existing legacy systems, but there are methods for automating the flow of data from ERP systems to a distributed ledger technology. First, though, you should figure out if you even need it but perhaps researching use cases may help.
How would you move those enterprise applications or functionality to blockchain or a network? Piecemeal over time? Do they need a roadmap to move to the cloud?
I guess a distinction between on-premise to the cloud because on-premise to the cloud is really a technological shift, where on-premise or cloud to blockchain is really a process shift, you are changing your processes. And so it’s a different kind of move. Being able to do that in the technologies that enable you to take your shared processes, which are mostly messaging, and move them onto blockchain requires you to embrace entirely new processes. That is not simply a technology shift on to blockchain.
